Can you recommend something ? Honestly, no! I just did trial and error on mine. Fortunately, everything came together fairly nice and easy. I had a few rough spots in the frame I had to take off. And had to dremel alittle out of the front of the slide so bushing would fit. I stopped by The 1911 Academy in Mckinney for a few pointers. They are very kind and helpful. They are off of HWY 380/University Dr, just west of Custer Rd.

Jerry Kuhnhausen's 1911 gunsmithing manuals. was suggested to me in a previous post. But i never used it.

looks good so far . what barrel and bushing did you use? It was used springer mil-spec barrel and bushing. My friend had them laying around. Barrel fit like a dream. Bushing... not so much, lol.

I'm in the $600s range right now. But still not finished. Probably cheaper to buy one out right but it's different to build you own.
As far as sights. I don't know. Probably something simple.

There is a guy on YouTube I think his name is mosinvirus he has lots of good Videos on 1911 builds and yours looks nice right in the middle of building mine
