I was out watching a wheat grazing pasture for hogs while watching the clouds roll in, lightning, and checking the storms' progress on my phone. I finally spotted a lone, depredating boar with 30-45 minutes to spare before it looked like the storms would hit and so I went after him. No necropsy this time as the storms did not cooperate. I was able to put the Pulsar Trail XP50 to good use for this hunt...

What kind of warranty do these thermal sights have? Looking closely at them and it appears there is a short return time for refunds but can't seem to find an actual warranty. Also what brand of brasscatcher do you use while hunting?

Unless things have changed, Sellmark (distributor for Pulsar in the US) offers a 3 year warranty and they have some of the best customer service in the business. Here is the link...http://www.pulsarnv.com/warranty.html
The brass catcher I am using is from Tactical Brass Recovery. I own two. They are pricey but hold up very well and work very well. I have been quite pleased with them.

Sellmark is just off HWY287 not more than 10 miles from my house. Thinking about starting out with a XQ38 from Pulsar, some $2000. less than the XP50 but hopefully useful enough. I think I could get by with a good thermal monocular and a Photon XT as a sight but the cost of a monocular and an actual sight are not that different. I've been night hunting for years sneaking around in the dark on moonlit nights and turning on a light just before I pull the trigger. I have pretty good night vision on board though and it is odd that I have only found a few people willing to actually go out and sneak up on feral hogs at night in the dark, Hmmmm. Don't know if they are afraid of the dark or the hogs.

That was a heck of a storm up there in Montague. I busted two before dark luckily. Looked like it snowed with all the hail at first.
