That's what the wife was yelling when she stormed into the workshop. Time I got the rifle out and loaded, the hog was nowhere to be seen. I did mention to her that she ran past the 223 to leave the house and get to me. She could have shot him. Oh, well.
I'll go sit on the power line ROW later, and take the caller with me. Maybe I can find that hog or a coyote or two. I'm taking the 270 and leaving the peashooters in the safe.

No hog this evening, but did blast a mid sized coyote. I might try again in the morning.

The largest boar I've harvested was shot out the front door with a slice of pizza in my off hand. The wife loves to tell that story.
Kudos on the dead calf killer.
One shot is all it should take.
