This boar had knocked down 2 of my gravity feeders Attempted to break into my grape yard And was blessed w some nice dentine that I just have to collect At 10pm tonite he came out and had a stare down w a bobcat He glowed bright and clear on my ATN thermal He was hesitant to feed cause the cat wouldn't leave I waited for a clear neck then send a 168 gr Nosler BT. He dropped like a rock Had to go get the tractor cuz my buddy and I struggled to move him On to utv My biggest boar so far

I'm not convinced the cause of death was the neck shot - it appears he may have choked on a rock first  Good hog , glad you set a new high mark for yourself

looks bigger than 340 to me. thats huge!
I was thinking he accidentally hung himself on the chain or choked on that big rock

Looks like a few hours of butchering coming on to me!
All big boars don't stink. He didn't stink I cut the quarters and loins so only took 45 min Spent more time drinking in between then cutting Donated the meat to my friend

It don't take those buzzards long. If you want to save the skull I wrap em up in wire surround with some old field fence and then drive a couple rebar bended double to anchor. Right over the biggest fire ant mound you have. They'll clean it up quick and you won't loose the ivories and small teeth with his jaws wired together.
You know it's a big one when ya need the tractor. Get the rest of em. Nice job.
One shot is all it should take.

I wouldn't doubt it being a bar hog in the hanging pic I see no nutz, a boar that size has balls as big as a beach ball. He also looks very round.
