How do the two compare? My wife absolutely loves Axis meat.
For those of you that have have both... how do they compare?

I have eaten a ton of both. Axis is wonderful and one of the best tasting deer. Blackbuck to me is just ok. I have friends that love blackbuck meat so you will just have to decide.

Both great, black buck has been the best burger meat I have had but they're both awesome just more meat on a axis

Axis is great . Black Buck to me is more gamey . More like White Tail

Both great, black buck has been the best burger meat I have had but they're both awesome just more meat on a axis ^^^^^^^^^^^ THIS. BEST burger meat, period. I like Blackbuck in any form though. Even Steven with Axis on most counts.

Yep, axis is hard to beat. I prefer blackbuck to whitetail.

Our family loves axis deer meat. Blackbuck meat is ok, but I prefer it over whitetail still. There isn't as much meat on them versus an axis deer and they are leaner. Anytime I have tried to grill blackbuck it's turned out ok but I think it's best cooked slowly like you would cook a brisket.

Axis Meat is one of the best out there. Blackbuck meat is pretty darn good but Axis is way better. Anything made with Axis was good. Blackbuck was a bit harder so burger patties were made pretty good. Blackbuck is cheaper.

Thanks for all the input guys. Based on that... the other half probably won't like the taste of a blackbuck. Guess I'll focus on an axis hunt!

Both are excellent with Axis getting the slight edge but blackbuck makes great hamburger.
