Hey there.
Anyone head out the LBJ to scout for turkeys at all? I heard a few faint gobbles and saw a few, likely very old, tracks. Two very different locations though.

Anyone else have luck, planning a scouting trip, or out there right now for youth season?

I was supposed to go with a local guy who was going to show me around but I've been having some major issues with my back. Looking forward to reading others reports of this area.

I was out hiking around last Saturday. Didn't see/hear any turkeys but ran up on two mama hogs with quite a group of piglets behind them. I wonder how many folks will decide to head out there for opening day of Turkeys.

I went week after opening and didn't see anything or heard anything. Was great morning spent walking around finding good spots for Oct.

I was there last weekend and spooked some deer - I guess some wildlife is better than no wildlife
