BTW guys in researching scopes I discovered that Burris is making a dual focal plane scope. An elevation reticle in the first plane so it is subtend true at any magnification. AND a sighting reticle at the second plane that does not change size at any magnification. It is available on their XTR II line of scopes.

I have never been a big fan of Burris although I did use there pistol scopes back when I shot silhouette's. These might be worth a look.

I believe the dual focal is mainly on the lower powered scopes.

Another "solution" that one company chooses is added ring or circle around the center of the reticle. The Bushnell lrhs offers this.
