What's everyone's favorite caliber for hog hunting? Mine are .308 either my bolt action or AR and my bolt action 22mag.

haven't had a single thing move after the 300WM hits it, building a 375raptor AR currently, I'm guessing this will be my new fav.

I hunt with several different rifles but I think I like the 450'Bushmaster the best for hogs.

375 H&H has been the most fun so far.

My favorite is a 30/30 but it really does not matter to me. I have killed them with about 8 different calibers and they all die from lead. Nothing fancy for me, just toss some core-loks in the pocket and go sling some lead.

I second the bolt action 22 mag. Forces you to get close....Certainly not the best, but I have never lost one.




my 77/22 has killed quite a few.

It's a Remington 700 in 308 Win. It's a great hog gun.

I've killed more pigs with 22 mag than with any other caliber. Back when I used to hunt 5 days a week I'd kill 5-10 a week year round. The places I hunted were small with neighbors close by. Didn't want a loud gunshot bringing unwanted attention. Never had a suppressor and still don't unfortunately, a few times I'd kill one (ear hole) and kill a few more wondering where the shot came from. Most shots were anywhere from point blank to 100 yards.
