it is cruel and mean to kill hogs with poison, how about mice/rats do they not die in the same way from the same chemical? how many hogs have run off after a hunter shoots, even with a well placed shot.
Don't know about you, but most folks I know stay away from eating mice/rats, though I do have a Nutria recipe I can send you.
While certainly no hunter wants their game artificially reduced, much of the concern is a poison that will most certainly be spread beyond the intended target. I'm sure there's a different opinion, just offering mine. I don't think anyone gives a rip about a gunshot wounded hog dying elsewhere, unless you had ready plans for a BBQ.
