Yep! Agree the Walther PPQ is an excellent choice also!

Sig P229 in 9mm is my personal choice for ccw. With a spare mage and one in the pipe, I have 31 "Freedom Seeds" at my disposal. I pray that I never need it, but it's there if I do.
Are you going to pull those pistols, or whistle Dixie?

The more I read, the more I’m attracted to the PPQ. I saw some reviews stating that the CZ P10C is better than the PPQ, but I think those are “paid” reviews!
I’m also attracted to the HK P30LS and Sig P2XX….I still need to handle them and test the trigger.
The Browning Hi Power seems like a nice improved 1911 in 9mm, but it has the magazine disconnect that makes the trigger heavier than it should be. The sights and the lack of rail are also underwhelming.
BTW, this isn't going to be a carry gun. For that I have my Khar CM9 and with a spare mag, I think I'll be fine (I also have the G26 for occasional carry).

The Browning Hi Power seems like a nice improved 1911 in 9mm, but it has the magazine disconnect that makes the trigger heavier than it should be. First let me say excellent choice on the Sig. The disconnect can be easily removed from the Hi-Power in about a minute, I've even done it with a paper clip when I couldn't find my small punch. you'll get about a 2 lb drop in trigger pull putting it at around 5 1/2 lbs. With a spring kit I can get it down to about 3 to 3 1/2 lbs. I'm in the process of re-building an older model chambered in 30 Luger and will do a complete job on the trigger. Should be a fun project since I'm looking at shooting nothing but 60 and 71 grain bullets in the 1500 to 1600 fps range.

Took the Sig out for the first time. I love that gun. It was 100% reliable. The craftsmanship and the trigger are awesome. The accuracy I was getting at 15 yards was kinda similar to my G35 and both were more accurate than the G26. What does that mean? It means I suck and both guns are more accurate than me! After playing with the Sig, I realized that I like both the Glock and the Sig. The Sig has a better craftsmanship and a better SA trigger. But the Glock is simpler to detail strip and change parts. I'm keeping my Glocks and my Sig! Here’s the Sig Sig P226 groups at 15Y G35 (left) and G26 (right) groups at 15Y

Best 9mm is the Sig P226 X5 Match. There is not another gun hat comes close to the beauty of this weapon. It's in a class of its own in looks and accuracy. One day I will have one

I CC only two , the XDs .45ACP , 3.3" barrel single stack and the Ruger LC9s in 9mm , 3" barrel . Both are sexy , shoot great and very dependable and will do any job needed for CCW unless your shooting rabbits at 100 yds in that case I take better aim .

I love my CZ P-09 Urban Grey Suppressor Ready. Came with stock 21 round mags, suppressor height tritium sights, threaded barrel, an awesome trigger, and it costs about the same as a stock Glock. Not to mention it is accurate as heck. Disclaimer: Not my picture, but my gun is identical.

PPQ M1 (I like the paddles). Trigger may be a bit light for a CCW, but it is one fine shooter.

Another reason I posted that is to hopefully garner any opinions on the P320/M1 and whether or not the fact that it was the Army's final choice to replace the Beretta gives it additional street cred.

Doublestack 1911, compact and no front sight to hang up For now I'm pretty happy with my Sig P226. But this double stack 1911 is a SWEET gun! I'd probably put some sights though. I read about it and they guarantee 1.5" accuracy at 50Y. It's super expensive too....around $3.5k+

They seem to be pretty much all custom and fantastic. There was a small piece of property for sale a few years ago right by us in Palo Pinto County and it finally sold. I watched some very interesting dirt work occur and then large warehouse type bldg and then a very secure fence. Turned out to be Infinity's new location. I enjoy hearing them out shooting from time to time but havent attempted to stop in. Does not look very welcoming to the pubic.

I just picked up a Springfield XDS 3.3 in 9mm. Put 100rnds through it yesterday. I am totally satisfied with it. Very smooth to shoot. light recoil and easy to stay on target for a subcompact.

I'll be getting the new cz p10c as soon as I can find one. It has all the changes that glock should do. No finger grooves, undercut trigger guard, ambi, front serrations and a great factory trigger, and a more ergonomic grip.
