we kill coyotes and hogs off the patio. got bambi feedin at the rear windows now, 3 doe/4 yrlings. I am lucky that I get to manage the place.

Walk out tbe back door and hunt, but also have a lease right at 6 hrs away. Like having my own place right here, but also enjoy getting away for a while. x2 Behind the house or 6.5 hours to Wellington.

130 miles. About 2 hours.
I got lucky and found a place in Thurber with electricity and a small shack to sleep in for $1200 a year.

6 hours to the one in the Hill Country and a little less than 2 to the one in East Texas.

How far does everyone drive to their place where they hunt? I'm trying to find a new lease and since everything seems to be 3+ hours away I am trying to justify to myself if I am willing to drive up to 4 hours each way as I will be going a lot to hog hunt. Especially pulling my camper hopefully diesel prices stay low lol 13 miles from the recliner to the gate.
Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

We drive 850 miles to our hog hunt every year. Kind of makes it a one time a year deal, unless the annual Christmas trip down to see family turns into a hog hunt.

45 minutes to my "little patch of dirt".
5+ hours to the lease, without pushing it too hard, with a couple of brief stops.
