I have a few Glocks and I’m starting to think they might be overrated (especially with the current product offering from other brands). I like availability of the accessories and the magazine compatibility (like using a G26 for conceal carry and then put a G19 mag/XGRIP and transform the gun for home defense). But in today’s market, I’m starting to think there might be better options (PPQ, HK VP9 or the new CZ for example).

My EDC is a Kahr CM9 and that gun is going nowhere. I think it’s one of the best firearms I’ve ever purchased (and I have some very expensive ones).

But I’m seriously thinking of replacing my Gen3 Glocks.

They aren't overrated, great guns.

My favorite pistols are;

1911
H&K P7
Glock 19
Walther P5

The Glock is the utility piece but the others are classics. I grow weary of polymer pistols.

I carry a Glock 19, but it's not my favorite. My Sig 226 is by far my favorite handgun. I also like the M&P and CZ 75 compact models.

Guys, thanks for the suggestions. The Sig P320 and CZ 75 compact seems to be good options (as well as some of the HK offerings).
Not a big fan of the M&P. I don’t like the factory trigger.

I don't know if they're any better, but I shoot Springfield XD pistols better than I shoot the others. My favorite handgun a 4" XD Mod 2 in 9mm.

Favorite pistol to shoot is a 92FS, super accurate and low recoil. I know it's big, ugly (real ugly IMO) and the trigger is ridiculous (just like a sig or m&p) but kinda like an old ingersol rand 231 it just fits my hand right because I've handled it for years.

There are much better guns some even cheaper but, I just really enjoy shooting it.....

I hate the way a PX4 feels in my hand but I shoot them lights out. I love the way a Glock Gen4 feels in the hand and cant shoot chit with em. Go figure.

First chance I got I put a full APEX kit/trigger in my M&P. It's a very different gun now. I think the M&P 2.0 is much improved.

I've got a CZ 75. It points a dream, accurate, and has been very reliable. I don't know if it would be perfect for you but it's close to it for me. They seem to get exceptional reviews.

I really like the CZ 75 compact and clones. The Canik/Tristar C-100 is one of my all-time favorites.

My favorite carry gun is a HK p2000SK. Carry what you are comfortable with and learn it well.

M&P w/ Apex FSS trigger is one of my all time favorites, that trigger makes a huge difference. Also love my P226 elite, absolute tack driver just how it came from the factory. I carry a G26 w/ a Glock Kraft (now known as Overwatch Precision) trigger in it. I love it for its ease of concealment, capacity, and ability to use full size Glock magazines.

I've always been partial to S&W. shot a couple glocks at the range, and just didn't like them at all. What are you wanting to get out of the new pistol that the Glocks aren't getting done?

I carried a Sig P229 for 17 years and it is a great gun. They are accurate and easy to break down and very durable. However, I started carrying a glock as a plainclothes gun and I noted that the difference between the two triggers was causing me to short stroke the trigger on my Sig during qualifications. I decided to stick with one style of trigger to ensure that I didn't short stroke my trigger under stress. I now carry my 43 every day and a 19 in uniform. If your guns have different trigger pulls you will need to practice, practice, practice!

Lots of good ones mentioned. My favorite as of now is my FN FNS9. It feels great in the hand, has a good trigger and reset (for a factory striker-fired pistol), and shoots lights out!!! It is priced right, too.

I had an M&P for a while. Felt good and was very accurate, but the trigger was horrible. XD Tactical felt good, decent trigger, but was not as accurate as I thought it should be. I love Sigs - quality pieces in every way, but you pay for it. The Kahr I had I really liked - the unfortunate thing about them is resale. For whatever reason, they are tough to get rid of for a decent price. They may be worth a look if you don't mind buying used. Quality 1911s are never a bad choice. I have never owned one, but a CZ 75 is on my short list.

Good luck!
