Between the eyes, ear, shoulder. I've shot them in all those spots and they drop. Very good graphic from the OP for new hunters.

There are hunters and then there are eradicators, which one are you? I for one hunt, if I harvest I take the meat. I'm both. I hunt game animals and I get pleasure out of killing nuisance animals like coons and hogs. And rats. Im the same but I will do my best to recover any hog(s) I shoot. Coons/opossum/rats/coyote I dont care unless its dead in my yard. Dale7892, do you take the meat from any coon, coyote or other varmint you kill?

i can tell you, if you shoot them in the back of the head at a slightly downward angle with a 300mag 190grain berger vld, the back of their head comes out of their mouth, and they don't move anywhere....

Yeah I take the meat off coon, coyotes, opossum and others. Makes for great mulligan stew. RIGHT?

It's an old video from my archive, but the kill shot happens at 1:30, and she tells you where she hit (and was aiming) at the 3:20 mark. With a 55 gr .223.
