Priceless!
Being able to hunt is just a taste of the many freedoms we have inherited;
hope this youngster develops a 'hearty appetite' for such; and great job dad for 'passing it on down' . .

Thanks guys but I'm not the father. Just a good friend. The boy's father introduced my wife and I.

This is their third year making the trip down to South Texas to hunt with us. Each year, many memories are made, lots of laughs, lots of learning, good meals and some fun hunting. Hunting success is but the icing on the cake. The older brother, who is 12, made the decision to hunt for the biggest cull buck we have. He learned (the right way) that targeting a specific buck greatly diminishes one's odds for success. This was his little brother's first year to shoot, and he turned into tha killa!

My wife and I have no kids (except a little female black lab) and we cherish trips like these.

Both boys live out in the country near Lake Fork. When they get home from school, they're in the woods or on their pond until supper time. Both of their bedrooms have tons of outdoor themed decoration, and both of them have guns and bows hanging on the walls in their rooms. The way many of us grew up.

I can assure you that their mother and father are raising the boys the right way and they're a delight to be around. We're just thankful we have a place to take them hunting. This year was the first time the 12 year old didn't start crying as they were leaving. I think his little brother might have made up for it, though. roflmao
