"TOAD" is a figure of speech, a metaphor nothing more. When my youngest Son caught his first fish I felt like I needed to grab a gaff by the way he was acting. This was his toad LOL....

Don't sweat the terminology folks, it's all about the memories. up

It doesn't matter and shouldn't bother me but for some reason it irks me. "Smoked 'em" and "running XXX" are the ones the get me the most. Of course, I'm certain I say some things that others hate.

Pronghorn are neither Antelope or Goats. They are the last of their species and closest related to a Giraffe.

Correct. "Towed" = TOAD. RV'ers slang.

Every species is the last of their species, LOL. They are the last surviving member of their family, however.

For me, my pet irk is the calling of ground hogs "gophers." That are not gophers and are in a different family. Of course, ground hogs aren't even hogs at all which are in a different order.

Every generation has their trendie lingo that old timers find grody but that the generation thinks is wicked, fer sure.

Back in like the 80s, things were bangin' and boss. We'd get the 411 on some bomdigity hunt party and book over to see if it was fantabulous. Sometimes, it was my fave spot and legit. Sometimes it was a frickin' bust and mega uncool. Once in a while, we'd score a fugly hog. My best bro, Bob (a DINK), usually could not go because of his hoser wife. That was bogus. I kid you not. If he could get it penciled in, we would go out and peg some righteous hogs. Once, we got so many that our ride was a scoshe overloaded and one took a face plant and became road pizza on our way back to the house. Man, we were trippin'. Bob be like, "Where's the beef?" All I could say was, "Whoa!"

This celeb hunter was coming to town and Bob was stoked to the max. He tried to schmooze his way into going but everything he did was lame and he never got out the door. He was not rad and I told him to just chill.
