Had one of those in 270. They didn't make them long and parts can be scarce. And it wasn't near as light as the Ascent..

basically an ultra light arms...parts? The accent is $700 more...that buys a lot of optics...opinions vary...

Already have a Montana in 308 and a Longmaster in 30-06. Was wanting to go even lighter than the Montana just because.

Nula/Forbes? I Barrett recently purchased the rights from Melvin Forbes. Could use the gift card for optics

Yes. Forbs/Colt/built by the same folks....they are good rifles...not maybe the lightest, but good rifles...shop the used counter a bit. I see Howa alpine's and semi custom rifles come up on racks at cabelas all the time for the 800-900 dollar mark...look after deer season...hell you can still put a dang good down payment on some glass...

Not sure what caliber your looking for, but for sure they don't get any better priced or any lighter for the money, I realize its not from cabelas but still a deal if your really wanting to go super light .

Yeah I like the Adirondack, but I hate to lose 4-6" of barrel length (depending on caliber) off of the Mountain Ascent.
