My BT65 and my son's AT44, both .25. Hatsans are not in the same class as savoyspecial1's HM1000X, but they are quite powerful and accurate. Trigger is pretty good too. Downside is they are heavy. Hatsan just introduced some newer rigs that are moving closer to the top tier air rifles, but the ones I got are proven platforms. Lots of guys have tinkered with them, so tuning tips and data are available on forums.

I bought an Airforce Condor in .25 cal this fall. I bought some aftermarket parts, valve, spring and hammer and just got them installed last weekend. It's shooting over 1000 fps with a 63 grain Hunters Supply #257 sized down to .251. That would be about 150 fpe. The 43gr En-Jens are up to 1150 fps.
They make ammo specifically for hunting for a reason!

I have shot quite a few PCP's and suppressed rimfires, the really high energy PCP's sound similar to a 22 with sub-sonics and a good can i.e. 115-120db, indoors or out it should meter the same on the right equipment. Problem is that equiptment is very expensive!

Not to get too technical, but the surroundings absolutely have an effect on sound dB measurement.
A sound source in open space is usually considered the reference, with a gain of 0dB.
Add a hard surface floor that extend very far out in every direction, theoretical gain is +3dB, essentially doubling the acoustic power, since 1/2 the sound energy that would have radiated into spherical open space is reflected into the remaining hemisphere.
Add a nearby wall that extend very far out, and the gain is +6 dB.
Add another wall 90deg to that, and the gain is +9dB.
In simplistic terms, this is why home theatre subwoofers are best placed against a wall, or better yet, loaded into a corner. It is also why critical measurements are done in an anechoic chamber to minimize reflective dB gain.
