Been waiting all November for a cool spell and got nothing. Finally one is due to hit Friday. Well, Saturday morning I'll be up on the road early, headed the opposite direction of the deer lease. Heading to Ruidoso, NM for Thanksgiving. Dang the luck.

No so bad, when we lived in El Paso, we spent a lot of time in Cloudcroft and Ruidoso. Beautiful country!

I've spent several Thanksgivings in Ruidoso. I feel your pain about not hunting the cold front but you are heading to the mountains. That's a pretty fair trade-off.

I love going out there, but danged if I'm not anxious to spend some time in the stand too. I've only been able to hunt opening weekend and it was hotter than blue blazes.
