Any trailers will be unstable and cause problems if it is not loaded correctly. Correct tongue weight and hitch height will stop almost all swaying tendencies on single or tandem axle trailers.

Maybe if you're pulling it with a Ford Focus. If your half ton is getting whipped around by a trailer with a ranger on it then you're doing something very wrong. Nothing at all wrong with a single axle trailer, don't put cheap bias tires on it and keep it maintained and all problems are avoided.

I use a 6 x 12 for my ranger crew. It hauls just fine as a single axle and works the reverse hauling feeders corn protein or anything else behind the ranger. I didn't want anything oversize that would stress the ranger when its doing the towing like tandems

This trailer is 65" wide and 10' long. Fits full size Ranger perfect.
