Couldn't pass it up. Ordered the 65 qt one today. They only have the tan 65 qt in stock. Wife wanted the "pretty blue one", but it will be 2 months before they have those. Their Facebook says the sale goes until Super Bowl Sunday.

Looks like most Bucees have them at that 30% off price. Stopped at the one in New Braunfels and got the 20 qt soft side for $69 and it was the Mrs that wanted it more than I did! They only had the 20 qt hard side cooler --- probably sold out the 45 and 65 ones there. Also picked up the handles for the 30 oz tumblers --- they work great!

Their website is showing that they are completely sold out on the 65's

I wonder if they allow back order at that price. I'd buy one if they did.

Snagged a 30 Softpak at BucEes in Bastrop Friday. Held out until I was able to put my hands on it, used it all weekend at lease. I like it.

How do the soft sides hold ice compared to a Yeti? I want 3 days out of one if possible. The Yeti does that, my Polar Bear does not. Zipper top lets all air escape. It might be best on insulation but if the top leaks air then it is useless. Not sure how that passed testing...

So does anybody besides me think the warranty is crappy? I have a pelican but I was going to try a RTIC 65. I go on their website and see they only cover their coolers for 30 days. That doesn't inspire much confidence in their product. I know they're cheaper but 30 days on a $200 cooler!?

Pretty sure you won't have any problems - I wouldn't get too hung up on the warranty

Can't compare to a Yeti, but I got an Rtic soft side for Christmas and have only used it for a few days over the holidays. I have a Polar Bear also and I think the Rtic blows it away. Seems more sturdy and has a tighter seal than the Polar Bear, which is the problem you were referring to.

IMO the Polar Bear is okay, but only marginally better than the cheapo soft side you would buy at Walmart. The Rtic is in another class.

Thanks. The Polar Bear was a Christmas gift. I was going to buy myself the Rtic and wrap it but saw the PB under the tree from the aunt. Even has our name embroidered on it... I'l go ahead and buy one and use it when it is warm outside. PB needs to fix their zipper.

Duck: I got the Rtic 20 soft side and it came with a small tube of stuff you are supposed to periodically put on the zipper to maintain the seal of the zipper. Maybe you can try some of that on your PB to see if it might help.

What's everybody's opinion on the Softpak 30 vs 40? Anybody have both? Like one size better than the other?

From facebook.

RTIC IS VERY PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE AN AGREEMENT REACHED WITH YETI

RTIC, the leading direct to consumer online retailer of premium coolers and drinkware announces that it has entered into a settlement agreement with YETI today for the purpose of avoiding the additional costs and uncertainty of continued litigation. The dispute has been amicably resolved and as part of the agreement, RTIC has agreed to redesign only those products involved in the dispute.

As part of the Agreement, RTIC is precluded from commenting further, but RTIC is very pleased with the settlement and considers it a win.

RTIC had previously announced last month changes to its 2017 product lines and expects to rollout new products and updated existing products starting in early Spring. RTIC will continue to operate as normal selling all the RTIC brand of products as provided on the www.RTICcoolers.com website keeping true to its promise to deliver "Over Built – Not Over Priced" products to all its RTIC fans & customers.

About RTIC

RTIC is the leading direct to consumer online retailer of premium coolers and drinkware. It was founded by twin brothers John and Jim Jacobsen and has generated almost 1.5 million followers on Facebook since shipping its first cooler in September 2015 and now employs over 100 people. RTIC is based in the Houston suburb of Cypress and owns fulfilment centers in Houston, Atlanta, Chicago, Harrisburg & Fresno occupying over 300,000 square feet of space.

Aka RTIC(not a half a billion company like yeti) drug out litigation long enough until new line was finished. Then settled... new line probably ships next month lol.
