Like you we feed year round and are covered up in hogs all spring/summer. They usually disappear or we see far less of them during the winter. I believe its due to all of our neighbors who only feed right before and during deer season filling their feeders.

Last year in Red River County, We had a ton of hogs till mid December. All left, except for a couple of boars, until September of this year. We also fed year round and since we were mainly deer hunting we did not put a lot of pressure on them.

Not saying its not acorns, but we see the same thing every year just before and in the beginning of hunting season and there are no oak trees within miles of our property.

They have all gone to my lease! Opening weekend, we saw over 40 at several different stands. We killed 7 that weekend, I shot four of them.

Shot two more this weekend, and others killed 4 more.
