Thanks for the support AB. They SHOULD handle ISU easily even though they are always scrappy.

Finally opening it up a little. 17-6 UT. That last TD is part of the reason I'm willing to give Charlie some more time.

True freshman to true freshman for a 75-yard TD.

Yeah, I was hoping they would be able to keep them under 20. So I'm happy with 6. Any day that ends with this is a good day.

D'Onta Foreman!

Possibly the best running back in the country? Yet no one speaks his name. Funny thing is everyone wanted his twin brother, and not him.

Say, isn't that the tower where the first mass shooting happened?

I sincerely doubt it was the first.

So I guess y'all have heard the recent rumors about Herman being a done deal. I'm pretty sure Strong is done. What are your thoughts on the next head coach will be?

I too think Strong is done.
I've heard the Herman rumors and am hoping they are only that. I fear that the Herman hire could be the same as the Strong hire.
I am hoping for a proven coach that has a record to back up the hire.

The other rumor is that if Herman is hired, he can't bring Applewhite.

I expect and hope they'll look beyond Herman. Herman isn't proven as HC in a P5, but he may be a good HC. I'm not sure.

I don't like the fact we have an inexperienced AD. That's part of the problem.
Whoever comes in will have a good foundation of talent to work with.

if they want to rebuild, they need a proven coach ... I've heard Bobby Petrino as another strong possibility.

but ... it would take a bunch of money to fire Strong, $10 million plus payout to other current coaches on staff PLUS whoever they bring in would be $5 million +/- ... I know Texas has deep pockets, but that isn't chump change even to them.

That money would easily come from the same boosters who want him out. The will no doubt pay him to leave.

Ran Mack off too soon.....should have bucked him up and then stood behind him. Nobody has patience anymore, even when it's been earned.

I like Peterson the best from that list but he's not leaving Washington or the West Coast from what I hear.
Chad Morris may get a look at Baylor spot, not proven at P5 and Les Miles doesn't have a clue about offense and not sure if he would fit.
Who knows.

Charlie wanted Morris as OC in 2013 but he had the big buyout and Texas didn't want to pay it. So we got Watson instead.

Man, I tell you. The last three years have been totally different teams. Charlie's first year the defense had some studs. They would play hard for the first half, but got no help from Watson and his fast speed offense.the only thing fast about that offense was how fast they got off the field. Swoops was a deer in the headlights.

Last year the team would just quit, but if they got some momentum going they would do what you didn't think they could do.

This year they fight and play hard. They just don't know how to win. Young team with no senior leadership. I thought they would win 8 games this year, but that's not likely. Oh well.
