It's really difficult to determine weight from photos, but I'd say that's a medium-large hog!
I have two unwritten rules: 1. 2.

I've killed 10-12 hogs, and only actually weighed one. It was 182. Every one in camp estimating between 140-150. Shown here: ![](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/usergals/2016/09/full-53199-78459-img_0867.jpg) The one hanging in the original post was way bigger and put a big strain on my hand winch.

Here's a double: ![](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/usergals/2016/09/full-53199-78461-img_0840.jpg) It happens a lot, shoot one, they scatter and one or two stop when they think they're hid.

Easy way to find real weight of a pig is to measure girth ( right behind front legs) times by ten and subtract 200 = weight of pig
38 inch girth times 10 = 380 - 200 = 180 pound pig You can get the 120 tape at Walmart in sewing section for a couple of dollars That one looks 180 ish

How close were you to Matador?
I avoid Dick's and hope they fold.
