Ok so we all know that duck hunters fall victim each year to the new motion decoy gimmick. I saw the Auto Jerk Decoy system online the other day and I like the concept. There are limited reviews online but I wanted to see if anyone here uses this thing. And I know I should quit being lazy and use a regular jerk string but I have some credit at Mack's that is burning a hole in my pocket.

if you have a blind that is regularly good that you hunt once a week or so and could justify leaving it there I guess it could be. we hunt too many blinds and they seem like a lot to be packing up setting up and moving around. the little jerk string grapple things are light hold good and work.

This seems like a great idea- pumping a jerk cord is a pain. But I agree with woodduckhunter- this seems like it would be a pain to set up and move around. I've long considered making a handheld puller that would pull a jerk cord automatically, but use the same anchor/set up that all of us already have. Anyone want to fund the development?

They are cool, a buddy used one with us last year, but in all honesty for the money a jerk rig is cheap and you only have to tug on it when birds are in the decoys, easy stuff.

Yep on the high end of the scale for most people, Remember you got to pay to play. I'm too old school for something like this.

I wouldn't pay for it, but I can see how it would be helpful. I get tired of pulling a jerk cord.
