I can not say enough good things about the TPWD draw hunts ( Youth & Adult). I have been drawn on several over the years and My son was drawn back when he was a youth. I am now looking forward to helping my son or son-in-law with the Grandsons or Granddaughter.

Thanks Bob for the info,on my son.
Sorry for the mistaken you for the guy at mason. The guy we met said he was part of the youth program and help on the hunts, we had discuss it because of me having 2 sons and was looking for other choices for them to hunt since deer lease's have gotten so expensive. I believe the man said he was from Houston and worked for a chemical company. we had dinner together our last night hunt at the Mexican food place in town. He and my dad exchange info I think. I just thought you may of been him, and wanted to say hi and see he has been doing.
If you know who I am talking about you might tell/ask him about the trip and us and tell him hello for us or he can get in touch with me, thanks.

My son's first TYHP hunt, his first deer, his first time hunting.....and he is hooked. We feel extremely fortunate that the ranch we hunted on allowed us to take a deer like this and the other 5 kids took deer and hogs as well. We saw turkeys, pigs, deer, bobcat-overall awesome time! Just as a FYI, my son was helping others with their deer and hogs so he removed his vest to keep it clean....absolutely safety first was preached and practiced. Great initiative to get the youth hunting and enjoying the outdoors! There should be more opportunities like this around the world to help the traditions live on through our children.
Hats off to all involved.

My son got his Prong Horn on his first hunt last year, that was also a TYHP hunt. He also went on a Turkey Hunt with them. This is a fantastic organization That I am Proud to be associated with.
Tell him we are all proud of his Harvest, and his helpful nature.
Thank You Robert

] Congratulations! Glad y'all had a great hunt! There is still lots of opportunity with TYHP this year - we have posted 128 hunts thus far, and more are being added all the time. We expect to offer over 200 hunts this season. See www.tyhp.org for more info, or feel free to contact me directly. Bob Barnette North Tx Field Operations Coordinator, TYHP bbarnette@texas-wildlife.org, or 214-282-3697

Greatness. Hoping to do the same with my 11yo this winter. Taking him to hunter ed course tomorrow since he needs it for TYHP. Everything I have read leads me to believe the program is top notch. Congrats to your son.
