If anyone has any insight on where to get these tanks I am interested in taking on this venture. I have the land to build them and the resources as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Start calling the guys that build gas stations and replace the tanks. Those guys have to chip the monsters up and haul to a landfill. They should be happy to load them on your trailer.

I truly cannot figure out how someone like this stays in business or how people still go to him. The service on the stands are bad enough, ridiculous when you figure in the tornado shelters.

Don't misunderstand I am not OK because I am sure none of this will ever transpire. I am going after the bigger prize here, and take the tank supply source away. I know I can build a better product and do it ethically. Tanks come in 30 ft lengths cut them in half and make 15 ft towers at a fair price. Knock off all the extras things that I feel have gotten him in trouble.

Do it. Fifteen foot towers are perfect. They won't blow over easily. They will finish out between 1000 and 1500 pounds and fit on a small trailer. That's exactly what everybody wants. That would make a good trailer mount rig too.

I honestly don't see it being that difficult to do. With as much money as he gets up front, really shouldn't be an issue. I have built 3 out of similar material and there is nothing to them.

My initial thoughts are to make just 15 ft stands and have them ready to go, no deposits. Cash upon pickup, leave them blank and let owners paint their color of choice. After looking at his website he is trying to offer to much.

A huge Thank you to all that emailed Scott. I spoke with him today, and he has ordered his guys to not give another tank to Dan. There is power in numbers, and you guys proved this point.
He has given me the verbal commitment to receive the tanks from this point forward. I will keep you posted on the progress.

Please let us know when you get a price together on those blinds. I would love to come look at them and possibly pick up a few.
