Made a sliding window. I'll hold it closed with a wire on a screw and slide it down to a bump stop chunk of wood. Anyone done Windows like this? Any issues? Any Tips? How should I trim the Windows? Can I just put a trim on top kind of like a roof over the Windows and paint it a lot on the osb edges?

I might use a larger piece with overhang, or a piece of metal bent and screwed with caulking between OSB and metal to seal. At least 2-3" to stop rain from getting in.

could use flashing to form a drip line, like a 1.5x1.5 (or larger), and cut to width of window, screw on the inside with lip sticking out, slightly bend down once in place.

I cut and made all the Windows today. 7 Windows. Man it was hot in the shed. I think I'll use a larger piece of wood to overhang it sticking over the ends by about 4". Cut some triangles to screw it to on the ends. I don't have any flashing laying around.

Just finished building it. And I caulked it. The door: Two sides showing the eave over Windows: The inside showing Windows that slide up and down: Just need to take it apart and paint it.

Good use for scrap wood that would other wise be thrown away! Thanks. I spent a few dollars on hasps, caulk, and a square. Hopefully it lasts. I still haven't painted it.

Did you just push the old blind off the scaffolding and put the new one up?

I would use a regular ladder instead of the widow maker just my The scaffolding is cemented into the ground. The blind is screwed to the scaffolding wood with large screws. The old one was up there for over 8 years and did fine like that. I will be building a better wood ladder. I used that aluminum ladder at the end of last deer season when my old ladder rotted apart.
