Y'all, I've always been kinda leary of having my body snapped/manipulated, but after tonight I'm a believer. I torque'd the snot out of my back last week. Yesterday, the pain from my low back going into my leg, was dang near unbearable. In fact, I had problems walking. 20 minute session and I'm already 50% better. For you youngster's out there, don't be stupid like I was. Loading a 500 lb truckbed onto a Jeep your restoring has caught up with me. Anyone else go when needed?

I need to, I got to play golf Saturday for the first time in two years since the ankle/leg surgeries, and now my back and shoulders are killing me; I have a compresseed C3/C4 space and it's been there since high school, now I think it causes the pain, which causes stiffness other places... getting old sucks.
Janie, call for help lifting that kinda stuff!!!

I will go but it doesn't always work. We have a chain called the Joint down here. Works out to 20 bucks a visit but it never seems to be the same person and when you find one that really cracks you up nicely they are never there when you return and the new person doesn't seem to have the same technique.

I don't have a lot of experience with them, but have heard both good and bad. My wife went to one and he was a crook. Sent home a "plan" that was supposed to make all kinds of things happen. It was a sales pitch plan and simple. Have seen the same company at different events and everytime, just a sales pitch. Might help some folks, but I wasn't buying it.
My back went out at a golf tournament one time and I couldn't hardly breath. I have chronic back pain as it is, but this was something special. Wife called a few doctors and finally called a chiropractor. I was barely able to walk through the door and he promised to have me golfing in 3 weeks. He kept his promise. Fair, honest and did a great job.

Im a believer. But I also believe they sales pitch you and mind screw you some. I have found when I'm really out of whack to get adjusted 2-4 times and then rest to see if it worked. Don't fall for the 3 or 4 times a week for 6 weeks. The current guy I use said he made more money 15 years ago than today due to insurance. I've also found some are A lot better than others. Make sure they give you proper time and don't just revolve you out the door.

Yeah I was born with so slight birth defect in my back and when I worked in a warehouse I would go to a chiropractor once a week to get my back adjusted and when I moved on I tried going but the new insurance absolutely sucked and covered very little. Hoping my new job is good for covering chiropractic work since I'm no longer sitting on my butt for 8 hours a day.
Iv got hogs an can show you a good time.

Like most things, it depends on the Chiropractor. I haven't been to one in 20 years but have been going to one here recently and it helps. Those drop tables are far better than the bone cracking they used to do.

I go as needed, and that's all anyone ever needs to go. They work wonders of you go to a real one. If they need to take x rays, probably don't need to see them. They should be able to feel around on you and know where the problem is.

I go as needed. My chiro is also a fire fighter and he makes Scooter look small. Seriously he is huge and intimidating, but really seems to get the deep ones to pop. His partner who is actually the named DR ain't worth a chit

Is it anything like cracking your knuckles, once you start you always feel like you need to do it again?

Agreed, just like the crooked pill pushers, especially the ones that get people hooked on prescription meds and then get the kids addicted.

Janie, did they lay you out and tell you one leg was longer than the other, so you needed adjustment? one of their BS trademarks Glad it worked for you, but I don't trust them.. A teeter inversion table does work, so does a TENS unit AND lots of exercise. I have suffered with great back pain for about 4-5 years, some days one of my feet will be numb, some days both, roll of the dice everyday I get up. I have been to 2 and one left me in worse condition I believe, that is when I got serious to what family in the medical professions was telling me. Read up on it a lot before letting them loose on your body. http://www.patheos.com/blogs/unreasonabl...ractic-therapy/ for starters

I've had lower back pain for a while. Usually just pop 800 of motrin when it gets bad and do some stretching exercises. My Grandmother used to swear by the Chiro she was going to. I thought about going until he started talking her into taking tons of herbal supplements (conveniently available for sale in his office) instead of the meds her Dr prescribed. 'Course...she lived to be 91 and ran a successful real estate business until about a month before she died of a heart attack.
I had a D.O. adjust my back when I was in deployed in Afghanistan. Felt like a million bucks for a couple of months. I would do it again in a heartbeat but you can't find many new ones that will do it.
I've thought about getting an inversion table. I think I'm starting to believe the hype but just haven't pulled the trigger yet.

I have been to them all over the country. Many of them are quacks. If you find a good one they work like a champ. I have a great one right now. He's a very small man. Maybe 5'6" 150. I don't know how he can crack my back but I fell out of a truck bed last year and could barely walk. He spent an hour popping things back into place. I walked out of there much better and was 100% a day later.

Janie, did they lay you out and tell you one leg was longer than the other, so you needed adjustment? one of their BS trademarks No, but she did mention I was ugly and Mommy dresses me funny. Seriously, so much better this morning. Going back for another adjustment later today. After that, she said to wait 3 weeks, and if no big improvement, come back. Otherwise, we'll see you as needed. Works for me.

I have been to them all over the country. Many of them are quacks. I refuse to see anyone but my chiropractor even when he moved to a different location that was ALOT farther away. He's been doing chiropractic work on our family for such a long time and has never given us any reason not to trust him.

Well worth it if you can find a good one. There are plenty of crooks out there. Got a great one that thankfully after years of pain went to for about 3 months and haven't needed to go back since. That was 4 years ago.

Do not let them touch your neck...Have 4 clients that were screwed up by chiros that messed with the neck...Have another client that a chiro told them that they could cure them of their diabetes. I am not a fan of the chiro.
