This is an outfitter that should be avoided. We hunted exclusively at night which we were never told was going to be the case. No one in our hunting party had a scope with illuminated reticles. Nor did the feeders have a green light with enough light to illuminate the feed area. Big shock, you cannot shoot what you cannot see. Only two out of the six (6) hunters in our group even saw a pig. Of the two that saw a pig this was on the first night only and no one saw anything the next night. Sixteen (16) total hours in the stand by six (6) different hunters equates to ninety-six (96) man hours and only two (2) pigs were seen. The second night we were moved to different locations to hunt. The "guide" put four (4) out of the six of us upwind from the feeders. Also a problem because one of the feeders had a wasp nest and the "guide" sprayed Wasp Killer inside of the blind upwind from the feeding station right before we got in the blind. All six (6) had unsuccessful hunts with myself being the only one who considers himself a marginal shot. The other five (5) men are experienced hunters with decades of hunts and killing game. We never had a legitimate shot/chance to cull anything.
The owner of the Outfit, James disappeared after greeting us on our first day to collect our money. The website reads that the pigs are active all day long because of the feeding of the pigs. However, when we arrived we were told the pigs only move at night and we would not be hunting during the day. So we hunted from 4:00 pm til Midnight both nights. I WOULD ENCOURAGE ANYONE READING THIS NOT TO BOOK WITH THIS OUTFITTER. I am not a complainer and try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. However, there is not much credit to give James and his operation "Affordable Outfitter". The nicest thing I could say or perhaps the one positive thing is that the guide "Alex Butter" is nice kid. His guide experience was minimal as he place four (4)of six (6) of us upwind from our feeders one of which was sprayed with chemicals upon arrival to hunt that evening, and he had no idea where the animals were.
The price we were charged is exactly what we got: Lousy communication, misinformation, third world cabin, and no animals to cull. Spend more money and book elsewhere.

Sorry for the sucky experience. I'm not familiar with them at all. Not all landowners and "outfitters" are that way but unfortunately, the area is littered with landowners and assorted scammers looking for a quick money grab.

Name of the Outfitter or the website? I know 14 James in my 5 mile radius.

Yea I've heard a lot of bad reviews with him and I know of another out near turkey Texas that does the exact same thing.

Ya, I left a review on here for these guys. 4 guys saw one deer all weekend. They made us pay cash when we arrived. Our guide was a guy that showed up a couple days before from Montana. After the fact the Game warden contacted us trying to find him because he was wanted for something in Montana. Never did meet the owner of the operation. The game wardens told me they were trying to shut his illegal operation down. But I guess he is still operating.

I took my brother there a couple of years ago and it was the biggest ripoff - just flat out deceitful. I left a review everywhere I could find. I noticed on Google after my first review, there were 2 or 3 new ones that spoke of the place like it was a palace with first rate guides. Coincidentally, all of them had similarly terrible grammar and spelling.

They were so bad I try to go back every year and update my review to urge anyone who sees it to check out this and other forums for reviews. Sorry you had to experience this.

The spelling on the website should be enough to make you run. First Class!
