Atlanta PD has switched their almost 2000 officers to 9mm. Atlanta PD has roughly 1200 fewer officers than Dallas PD but more OIS per year. In 2014, after the switch to Hornady 9mm +P+ they saw a increase in the number of fatal OIS with fewer shots fired. Fewer shots fired means there is less chance for bystanders to be hit, which is good, and it means the ammo is working better than what was previously issued. I would call that adequate.

Dallas is in the process of switching to Hornady as well. Pistol, rifle and shotgun.

I think it will be a good move, it was designed to perform consistently through most common encountered barriers or no barriers.

It will be a huge upgrade to the old rifle ammo that was being used.
