And the third safety lug smack dab at the rear of the port. Mausers are hidden within the rear bridge and oriented differently on the bolt.
There's also the extra metal on the side of the front ring to encompass the claw extractor, mausers don't have that extra metal there.
The cocking piece is like any other 1903.
Combine that with the 1903 like bolt stop and I'd be safe to say it's a 1903.

Sorry, but with all due respect, I believe it is a Mexican Mauser. Small ring, intermediate length. Simple way to tell would be to pull the front base. There will be a Mexican Crest there. But, I was wrong once and could be again.
There is no crest there , but the 1903 serial number is clear .
