I figured some city boys would have a good story about how they wrestled this big hog and would have him mounted. I just hate wasting a hog that we went through alot of trouble to get. Bulldogs got cut up catching him and it aint very often that u do catch a 300lb hog, unless u overguess their weight, like alot of hunters do.

Most would not consider that a trophy just because its trophy sized. Put it down. You took your dogs out and hunted it.... now just finish the deal. Its a trophy to you cuz you dogged it. To me its just a big torn up hog. Not hunting...

The keyword is "most". If one person would consider it a trophy then that is fine by me. A small 8pnt is not a trophy to me but to many kids it is. A trophy is really whatever you personally consider it to be. As far as finishing the deal, Its not my plan to kill the hogs I catch with my dogs I always tie them up and sell them to hunting ranches, but I cant sell a crippled hog. I prolly will wind up killing it. And I would appreciate it if you would stop criticizing me and telling me what to do with it by writing your opinion in here. Thanks!!

I saw a "trophy" largemouth washed up at the local lake here this weekend. Probably close to ten pounds- hard to tell, it was kinda bloated. I'll "guide" you to it, in exchange for your crippled trophy hog and $50.......

Seriously. How bad is the hog injured?? Just letting it sit there and suffer? Thats kinda sorry. But hey, whatever floats your boat. By the way, I have an old white sway back mare in one of my pastures. I'll go out and paint some black stripes on it if anyone wants a trophy zebra hunt. $200 Let me know....

A forum without opinions... sounds more like craigs list than THF. With all due respect, if you don't want certain opinions to be expressed, especially about a controversial topic, why post it here? If you don't want any feedback, I'd suggest using a different outlet, not an open forum like this where sharing opinions is what we do. I will shut up now. Best of luck with your hog.

Hey maybe I do need a hundred dollars I got over 1000 in tracking system and tracking collars and over 200 in cut vests and collars and dog feed aint cheap and Im in college. Im not rich like yall, my bad!! As for the "Gutit" cat, I have no clue what craigs list is. NO you dont know because its not illegal to sell hogs. As for mr. zebra guy that blew it way out of proportion, because it is a "HOG", your real funny too I bet you laughed out loud when u wrote that, and for the fish in a barrel guy Ill let you come catch this hog for free with no catch dog and see if it is as easy as shooting fish in a barrel. The bloated dead fish guy yeah your a real hilarious this hog is not DEAD. I like how people can overexaggerate. And finally yes you can write your opinion until your fingers hurt I just kindly asked that you kept it to yourself if it is negative. If you dont want any part of the hog you dont have to write anything!!

Wow i cant ever see myself paying any money to shoot hogs, but i grew up with them on my back porch lol. And i really cant see anyone payin for a hog that you are going to let out of a pen, i will not criticize u for tryin to sell the hunt, bcause ther are people that will do it, and u have every right to make a lil money off it. And also this is a opinionated forum, so u should expect pos and neg feed back on everything. IMO shoot the wounded hog and feed some of his meat to ur dogs, u could save money instead of making it, same difference right..??

First of all THANKS for actually being civilized and having a point!! I wish more people would respond like that. If nobody wants him, which Ill prolly only give someone until Tuesday, I may shoot him and feed him to my dogs. I usually feed smaller hogs that the dogs happen to chew up to my dogs. I better make myself clear tho, my dogs dont usually chew up hogs because I teach them to bay and not catch thats what my bulldog is for but every now and then they will catch a 25lb hog and under. I was just wanting to give someone a chance to come take a good hog thats worth mounting.

Take it easy sport! I was just pokin' a little fun. I hope you get whatever $$ you can for it. I've heard some fancy Dallas restaurant will pay top dollar for live wild hogs.
Surely you recognize that most true sportsmen wouldn't consider anything they killed in this scenario a trophy. You could put a 20lb bass in a swimming pool. I've still got to make him bite in order to catch him but that doesn't make him a trophy.
Lighten up a little and you'll have a lot more enjoyable time around here.

You have a lot to learn young skywalker about business, marketing, and ethics. There are many city boyz in here that can probably show you up any day of the week on any redneck sport you choose. Watch who you call what. If you were the best hog dogger around and maybe the cheapest which you aren't, after reading your post and seeing your clutter all over this forum trying to sell a nasty pig for $100-400 I wouldnt choose you because of your attitude and verbage. Something for you to think about. Unfortunately you can't learn that in college. jmo

brother in law, lay off the guy.... he is right, ive met a lot of city boys in the past couple days, and they prolly would pay 100 bucks to take this hog if they had the money. So ya u are right, but if he wants to make a lil money let him. However, ur irritated self nichols does need to tone down a bit IMO, jus take the ridicule with a smile and let it go. I dont think u got too out of hand, but it was all in good fun. I hope u sell it to pay those darned college expenses that i also pay and in the end get someone interested in hog hunting. OR do like i said earlier and kill it. As far as cluttering up the forum brotherinlaw, it is his thread, that he started, how does that clutter the forum. I just started using this forum a couple weeks ago, i love it, in fact it may be affecting my studying...... For the most part, people give intelligent answers, and IMO this was a perfectly reasonable thread to start.

LOL wow talking about who you call what. Whats the deal with "redneck". And no I dont believe I could get showed up on any sport that they chose. I havent found anybody cheaper most ppl are $250 with min or two ppl, let me do the math for you thats $500 and I really cant go any cheaper than $400. And as far as I can see I havent used any clutter I have just been defending myself with not attitude at all. You sir have alot to learn!! lol so you're saying you cant learn about Business in college??? maybe you should think before you write stuff Just My Opinion tho
