Nope, always wanted to. Seen a few tracks and fresh kills over the years but never seen the real thing. I don't think I would pull the trigger on one. Beautiful critters. frown

Not while hunting. I've seen two, one while riding dirt bikes in Grayson county. And one ran across the highway in front of me near Jefferson, Colorado.

I'm pretty sure I saw a mtn. lion on one of the old Whitetail Domains cameras. Does that count?

In the end, it's not the years in your life that count, it's the life in your years.

I've seen 3, one was a cub still following its mother. All three were seen in the early 90's south of Christoval.

We had one between Weatherford and Springtown east of Hwy 51 on a ranch that we serviced the gas wells on,I was lucky enough to see it twice. There have always been cats up on the Red River where I hunt in Cooke county,we've seen them several times over the years.

I'm in East Texas and I've heard tons of stories from people who have claimed to have seen them. Unfortunately, once they start talking about it, and then telling how often they see them, and then how they see wolves all the time too, I quickly put them into the bigfoot catagory. I think most sightings are fabrications of what they want to see and not an actually sighting.

I talked to a Game Warden who was checking game cameras at Hidaway Lake because of pets disappearing, but he said that after several years of looking, they never had a single picture of a mountain lion. He also said that once the people in the neighborhood got together, they all started seeing mountain lions all the time. The only thing they got on camera was coyotes, which is what he said is killing the pets that are disappearing.

I know a guy who finds tracks all over his place of mountain lions, but ever time I've gone with him to see the tracks, they are obviously dog tracks with claw marks. He refuses to believe that a dog can make a track that big, and when I explain to him how a Labrador sized dogs track will almost look twice as big in mud, he replied that he knows that, but those tracks are from mountain lions. He is seeing what he wants to see.

Throckmorton Co, Summer 2012, At night, on foot, 3/4 moon, with night vision, less than 40yds, scared the hell out of me as we crossed paths in rocky terrain, he didn't see me, and I sure didn't let him know I was there...

s.e. anderson county.
seen 2 while hunting, 1 in the yard at
10 pm. (may have been the same one 3 times)
neighbors have seen them. neighbors have
lost small pets to them.
saw a dark one at
r.c. wma years back before the north side
was made into a wetland. it jumped the dirt
road.
they are there. you just have to be awake
and alert to see them.

While muzzle loader Elk hunting in Co early one morning about 10 years ago near Kremmling I had hiked in the dark about 3 to 4 miles off the dirt road and was sitting to the side of small clearing. There was about 3 in of snow on the ground. Out of no where I hear this tremendous roar in the distance, I thought it was a lion but never having seen or heard one before I wasn't sure. It kept up roaring every 10 of 15 seconds and was moving closer and closer. Having the single shot muzzle loader my hair was standing up on my neck. I actually cocked the rifle when it was only about 100 yards away in the dark timber it finally broke cover about 50 yards away and turned out to be a large female with 2 older cubs. As I had earlier crossed the clearing where she entered she freaked out when she hit my tracks in the snow and took off like a rocket in the opposite direction. I must say I was pleased that she decided to depart as I was sure hoping that single shot I had was going where I intended it. The only lions I have ever seen and it sure is a great memory now!!!!

Near Cotulla 12 or 13 years ago. Got to the top of the tripod and he strolls across the road 50 yards away--never forget that long tail.

Saw a yellow cat in early 80's NE of Whitewright, walking to a buddies house after we were stuck.

Saw a black cat in 94 at our homesite while it was being built, could not get a gun out, it was sitting on a stack of framing lumber when I drove in the gate. They had found a dead house cat in the rafters the morning before. We're at the north end of the area known as Black Cat Thicket for 100 years.

Slung an arrow at a lion North of Megargel, 2005, my first arrow ever at an animal... used the bottom pin at 15 yards...scared me and him both

Saw one cross US 82 west of Seymour, 2011, with wife and son's girlfriend in the truck with me.

I almost leased a hundred acres in the black cat thicket a few years ago, the guy told me you "hear them screaming at night and sounds like a dying lady," uh, something came up, sorry sir, I'll call you next year...
