Clothes, usually in person at Academy, sometimes Cabelas. Almost all other stuff is online at Midway, Cabelas, Ebay, Amazon, or a few others. I'm a price whore, cheapest usually gets the poke.

Whatever you do, make sure you have real-time live inventory. Nothing is more frustrating than "buying" something only to get notified after the order is placed that it is backordered.

All we have is Wally World and Big R farm store, next is Amazon, If going to Amarillo then Accadamy or Gander mtn. Did buy a Bond Arms .45 LC / 410 from Buds gun shop because no one in Dumas or Amarillo had a cowboy defender. I've had good luck at all of them. Of course being a poor boy cheap is all I can buy.
Thank You Robert

All guns, optics and most ammo in person at Dury's Gun Shop in San Antonio. 'Just curious - Any reason why you prefer the San Antonio shop over any place in Houston? Yes sir. Best customer service in any retail setting. Immediate attention by staff upon entering their store. Further direction and introduction to a Dury's team member with specific expertise related to products you may want to purchase. Relaxed, no pressure store. Can't emphasize this enough. Complete gun smithing. From a new recoil pad to a super custom rifle. Dury's prices are competitive with similar firearms retailers. EVERY gun they sell, new or used, comes with a lifetime warranty . Whether the manufacturer offers it or not. Most of their optics and many other products too. Family owned and operated for more than 60 years. That's why I'll drive 6 hours round trip to p/u a new rifle at Dury's before I'll drive the 4mi to Carter's. p.s. When no one had ammo on their shelves, Johnny Dury was able to keep me and many other customers shooting!

No complaints at all. kdkane1971, No complaints. In fact I have sold a gun to Cabelas and they gave me $250 more than my local gun shop would pay. But that is not what I am writing about, it's that the Cabala's salesman tried to talk me out of selling the gun and said that he could not give me what it was truly worth and did I not have a son or grandson that I could leave it to. That is what I call honesty. However, he did give me $1 more that the price of a brand new Weatherby and I have always wanted a Weatherby but never could afford one. Online purchase, no complaints at all. in store I was in market for a second tractor and salesman did not know very much, so I bought a JD tractor, I wanted a UTV but salesman knew nothing really about them, so I bought a Mule.
Cabin rental in Pagosa Springs, Co. Sleeps 10, If interested please PM me.

Cabela's, Midway, Amazon, and Kuiu.com get 95% of my business.
Occasionally buy from Sportsman's Guide when they have their "double your discount" promotions.

Most from Academy in person. I really miss the Wall's outlet. Used to go there and get good new hunting clothes for super cheap. Wish someone would open up another one of those in Fort Worth.

I don't buy my clothes online. Midway USA, Cabelas, Brownells, Optics Planet, LaRue, Wilson Combat.
I buy most of my clothes at Cabelas.

Wherever I can get the best deal. I'm not loyal.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

Wherever I can get the best deal. I'm not loyal. I feel the same. The local shops around San Antonio were putting the screws to people during the ammo panic a few years back. I am actually surprised that they are still in business. They will not get my business, that was a crappy thing to do loyal customers when the big box guys were keeping prices down. Loyalty is a two way street. Guns- I have had good luck at Bud's and GunBroker. Generally save $100 (yes that is after freight and FFL) over the local shops. Saved $210 on the last deal by buying online. Small stuff like ammo, and gun accessories is generally Academy. Online I generally go to the guys with the best deal and availability, it only takes a few minutes to search prices and availability. Midway has done me pretty good lately.
