From 0-400 yards, it will work in almost any condition. Out past that, learn moa or mils.

I hear many complaints from customers that the CDS turrets are not very precise. Don't know personally. I've heard this, too. I was wondering if any members had experienced this personally. I suppose any manufacturer is going to have the occasional fail. Most likely wrong inputs then the MFG. "The box of ammo say it's 3200ft/s". Reality it's 2950 in your gun

I don't have any experience with the Leupold, but I tried the Burris C4 out to 300 yards and it worked great.

The problem with ANY cds type system, is that it locks you into 1 set of environmentals programmed into your turret. You tell Leupold (or whomever) these are my ballistics- temp, pressure, elevation, humidity, bullet speed, and BC data, and they give you a turret to those settings. If you are shooting in a condition that does not match up to those ballistics, then your "custom" turret will be off. Out to 400 yards, the difference is not a lot. But starting at 500 yards, you will need to correct for the EXACT conditions you are shooting in, and a CDS turret can not do that. Most of the time I get phone calls complaining that their turrets does not match up to the data they had it made with, and now need to match a load to the speeds and data they have on their turret. Bass-acwards of a load, if you ask me.

I hate MOA.
Only because of wind holds.

Have a m1 turret and the wind plex reticle installed rather than using CDS and you can use that scope on any rifle with any ammo. Just a thought.
