So, when did you take delivery?

The logistics of moving it were overwhelming. I sold it and will build a smaller one on skids.

I was going to buy one of these stands, Even had my wife climb into a twenty foot one at a gas station on Hwy 20 and she gave me permission to buy one. but with all of the "not delivered as promised date," that a lot of the members are talking about, I think I will have to pass. Especially if I have to put money up front and as you said, CAST, it is a start up company. A lot of start up companies aren't around a year later. I hope this guy becomes very successful and is around in a couple of more years. If he is I will most likely get one if not two of his stands, because I like them.

I wouldn't have problem taking it after a year given, I would make payments as per the progress. Or the owner needs to step up his game and hire more manpower. If the sourcing towers is an issue then the business is self is highly risky proposition.

What rain? 20 days worth of rain should put them behind 20 days. Not a year. He needs to rent a warehouse space or something. I predict that he won't be around long.

As far as the logistics of moving it being too much, based on their website it looks like they handle the moving and setup of the blinds.

I have been waiting just shy of 2 years for my blind. Its a new excuse every time I talk to him. And like an Idiot I paid him in full. Boy was that a lesson learned from a craigslist guy!! I have now gone 2 deer seasons with no blind. When the agreement was "It will be delivered and setup by Sept" 2 years ago.

Building those blinds is not that hard or complicated.

Two years is a long wait! What size blind are you building? Why is it not yet ready? I have built and sold two in that time, actually since last December.

If it could happen it has in this build process. One of them was built and the crane guy ran the strap to lift it through the windows on the hunting deck and it fell and got destroyed. I was even told he "Lost" my deposit. When I placed my order I was told "we build them in the order that they are bought" boy what a joke.

When I placed the order I jumped on a nice deer lease got all setup different feeders pens around the feeders, food plots, tractor rental preparing the food plot, tractor rental in getting the area that the blind is going ready.

I have spend in excess of $34K Purchasing and or renting everything getting ready. And YET again this year I am still in a **** pop-up blind.

Cant you just send him a bill if he gave you a delivery date so long ago and still has not met it? Then go buy a normal nice blind that could be delivered to you in a few days..

Not sure any deer blind is worth waiting two years for

Sounds like he has plenty to me. Taking all these up front payments and no product deliveries. Money seems to be rolling in for him grin

Yea the ones I seen they did on our place they cut them into 2 pieces, cut a door and windows in it and made a floor and ladder half way up and stood it and dumped about 6 bags of sack crete in the bottom and sprayed some water in them...Didnt look hard and the guy that did them is NOT the sharpest tack in the barrel so couldnt have been difficult if he accomplished it

Actually, to a IT guy like me, it looks complex and way more than I am capable of or want to engage in. It's a round structure. Windows are tricky and prone to leak if not done right. Everything is a project and all features are customized for each unit. Plus they are built in caveman mode outside on a concrete pad.

As far as long construction times, that baffles me as every time I visit, there are new units being finished and old units no longer on site. They are constantly prepping and cleaning new tanks from their stock. They have a lot of tanks waiting on my last visit.

My real issue is my lease. If I owned the property I would have placed that big fancy 20' blind out there permanently but sadly I do not. I don't want stuff out there that I cannot remove myself. The big blind is not to be moved except by Dan's crew and special equipment.

Therefore, I'm in again for a new style blind that I can handle easily with a helper and my tractor. I'm learning. I do wish now that I had kept my twelve footer and added a floor to it. That's what I'm planning now, but on skids.

Good luck to you guys waiting, maybe a little squeaky wheel action will help. I can visit at will being close to his shop and the guys are always glad to show me their new stuff. Dan is available on demand, touch bases and discuss the issue with the wait. He will work with you. Good luck.
