Being in the fire investigation field for a few years, I have responded to and have had several individuals found dead from exactly what is wanting to be done here. Anything propane gas or petroleum based products for heat puts off CO gas. If you must use one you need to have a window or vent slightly open to dissipate the CO and provide fresh air. Also, a CO detector should be mounted and in service. This works to alert for the heating apparatus and also cook stove operations.

This is nothing to leave to chance. The CO overdose has often been called the silent killer. If you need info an excellent source can be found at the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA.org)

Please be safe, it really is dangerous.
