Sheephunters' hunting "hero".
I have several.... no numerous 270 win. I recently purchased 2 - Jack O'connor's tribute 270 winchester rifles. I also have Jack's books... Read several times. Always have one on my nightstand. When I purchased the tribute 270's, Brad O'Connor was nice enough to signed 2 of my books which I display with the tribute rifles.
Brad actually came on the THF once when his Dad was being discussed. Very nice man.
I learned long ago you can't reason someone out of something they don't reason themselves into.

I am definitely a Jack O'connor fan! I have read all his stuff and have been shooting a Model 70 270 for over 50 years with great results on deer and elk!!

I've read all of O'Connors and Keith's books. I'm a bigger fan of Elmer than Jack. I understand Jacks love of the .270 but thought he kinda looked down his nose at anybody who didn't prefer it. I always like when he told what they ate on a sheep hunt and how they ate sheep liver fried crisp and flap jacks the morning after a kill.

He won't make me want a .270, but sounds like he is fun to read.

Anyone read the book "beyond fair chase" it's not o Connor but I just ordered it. Yes, you will enjoy it. Many on here would consider it very "elitist" however.

I like O'Connor and Keith as well. Two different schools of thought and both a product of their situations and experience. BTW-why can't people spell O'Connor's name correctly?
