That Boyd's Pro Varmint looks really attractive for the price. Please get one and let us (me) know how you like it...considering one for a Tikka 22-250.
I was wrong...on anything technical. Fitz............. is right, ya know............

[quote=KRoyal By the way looked into the Choate stock and they don't have a version that fits my 10FCP-SR with the factory bottom metal with detachable 10 round mag. [/quote] That's funny,I have one for my 10 FCP-Unless the bottom metal is different than the bottom mettal for the flush magazine. My 110 FLP 25/06 and 10 FCP 308- My 6.5 Creedmoor- Another 10 FCP 308 in the Boyds pro varmint stock. The flash on the camera makes the blue look a lot lighter than it really is.- My 6.5/06 in a Boyds LH Thumbhole-

Nice rifles Txhillbilly!
Did you pay extra for that glossy finish on the bottom one, or does it just look glossy because of the camera flash?

You have to pay extra if you want the glossy finish. I know because I ordered a stock from Boyds a couple of days ago.
Kind regards, charlesb

Did you pay extra for that glossy finish on the bottom one, or does it just look glossy because of the camera flash? I order all of my stocks unfinished from Boyds, and do the final fitting/sanding/finish myself. I use Tung oil,and put 10 coats on each stock. You can use steel wool on the final coat to make a matte finish if that's what you want.

Boyds charges 25 bucks extra for the glossy finish.
I ordered a varmint stock with a glossy finish last week, that's how I know.
Kind regards, charlesb
