Mine might be different now that I look at him Hope it doesn't bite you on the groin while at the same time two people on a motorcycle are illegally trying to pass you. I have one in my vehicle too. I only see him once in a while and hard to get him to pose for a picture. He hops to fast from the dash to windshield to somewhere behind the mirror.
Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.

have a lot of those things at the ranch in Pleasanton. Always just called them jumping spiders. I'm still trying to convince my fiance they're ok.

Diesel and a match. It's fun to watch a hopping ball of fire. Hello, burn ban!! On my way home Friday I had a yellowish, hairless spider suddenly jump out of my defrost vent, run across the dash, hook up and execute a beautiful Australian rappel onto the floorboard. She then took off under the seat. After I calmed down, I holstered my Glock and continued on my way. Spiders bother me.

That's the dime sized fuzzy black spider that eats roaches. They get a pass at my place. When you see one take a roach, that changes everything.

From the pic I'd say it's a Trap Door Spider. Very nocturnal and therefore unusual to see in daylight. The do live in Texas, but you don't see many. Non-venomous small insect eater...one of the good guys!

I would score it at .7825. Good width and girth but I think it would get a pass. Lots of poetential there so I would give him a couple more years.
They make ammo specifically for hunting for a reason!
