I like the 6.8 as well, very much. Here's a pic of 7 out of 10 killed the other night with the 300 blk. Nope, the 300 blk just ain't up to par.

Unfortunately, you are finding out what a lot of other folks, myself included, did about the 300BO and hogs. The 300 was not designed for this and is woefully inadequate for serious hog control. LOL, what caliber was designed for hogs? I don't think any have been. Yeah, I know……………not really. But it might as well have been. Nice hammer!

I've killed lots hogs with .308 and 300BLK. The hogs have dropped on the spot. My Sig 716/.308 is heavy, so I take my 300 on more trips. I just built a 6.8 and so far, I like it. Less weight than .308 and longer range than 300BLK. If I had to pick one, it would be the .308.
