Put mine in last week and checked em this week. They need rain for sure but there may not be any seed left since the turkeys spend most of the day there eating all the seed.

Good looking plots

Been crows on mine, I guess it is the only good thing about no dove around this year here.

Dang it. Our fields are pre- plowed but I do not think Hood county will get it? We'll see. Got 20 acres of wheat going in along with mixed plots for deer. My deal is the best, neighbor who runs cattle, plants the wheat and our plots, then keeps his cattle on the front 100 acres until the end of deer season! What a deal and we pay a part of his fuel for him. cheers

I planted mine over a week ago when the forecast was 80% for rain. We didn't get a drop, and it's been bone dry every since with nothing in the forecast.

Yes, I did the same thing on the same forecast from our weatherman. But it's getting so late, I need to plant anyway. I have one more plot that I am planting this weekend and then really hoping for rain . Here's photo of my wife helping me with all the plowing and planting that we did this weekend and one of the hot dusty food plot after planting.

I'm not feeling the el Nino thing. I have a couple hundred pounds of seed waiting to spread over what I planted two or three weeks ago. If I could only get a 'legit' forecast of rain...
