Shooting 30+ deer off 40 acres every year seems a bit extreme. confused2

Good for you! I'd like to lease 10 acres right next to you, sub lease it to a couple of guys, & let them kill 8-10 deer every year.

ETA. For the record, I don't begrudge people hunting small properties. But I do begrudge people who harvest more deer than their acreage & feeding maintain. There are some smaller places that with feeding & selective harvesting improves the deer herd.

If your not trying to improve the deer here every year, your part of the problem IMHO.

Common sense would sorta suggest that if they're taking 30 deer a year off any size place, they're not hurting the population to where it's making a difference or they'd no longer be able to take 30 deer off of it. I am a bit curious as to how many people they have hunting to fill 30 tags.

It seems extreme, but it may be a pinch point where a lot of deer cross through and the surrounding places may not be hunted.

Why don't you guys take your rants and opinions to another forum, my gosh you've ruined this guy's thread. Hell, he's trying to lease his land and ya'll have trashed it for him. There are plenty of Forums where you can have a discussion like this. You might start with some California hunting forums.

And folks wonder why more available leases aren't posted here.
