It's already been said once, but I think it needs to be said again. Leave gates as you find them. Not leaving gates the way you find them is the fastest way to piss off a land owner, especially if there's livestock involved.


There's a story about how Crazy Uncle Louis (RIP) left a gate open/unlocked way back in the day and promptly got keys taken away. I dunno if it was entirely his fault or not as I've seen, in my time, a few others forget to latch some of the non-lock gates but that's the story I was told.

Word on the street is that good ole Foosh acquired a key but seldom uses it.
