As long as you're in Colorado when you do it, you'll be fine.

Oh, yeah, did we discuss that, yet? If you don't have a hunter's safety card, you better get one. Whether you just need a replacement card or the whole class, get it. The cut off date to be grandfathered in is about 20 years earlier up there than it is down here. I'm not sure if Chief Joe is old enough to be grandfathered in, but I doubt anyone else is.

Do this if you have time.

Go into the DOW office in Durango, have your state HE card and SS card. Tell them you would like them to mark your account as "verified". They will store your info under your SID/CC and every license you get in Colorado from then on wont require your HE card, it will be printed "HE Verified" on your licenses, from then on. Even if you loose your card, you're GTG.

Takes about 5 minutes at the DOW office.

I know that Walmart, bought my licenses there a few times and have worked on that store in the past (4 years ago iirc). Easy purchases if you get there in the late night hrs, it is dead when the kids are all in school.

Got no idea on that one. Only hunted archery season last few year and last week of season at that.

No gotty, no license.

They don't mess around. Best to go to Dept of wildlife office and get it on file.

I've just touched down in a top secret location. Going to have to go radio silence until next week.

Suppose to be 41 in the morning.... I hope I don't caught a cold

Yes. Just make sure the number can be read. They'll want that.

Got the mountain bike up and running. Raced the boys. I don't think they're regretting losing as much as I am winning.

I ordered my boots and pack this week. I can't wait to get back up there. I'm in the Temple area. Who else is close that is considering going?

I prefer "plate too full". I wish all the guys good hunting and will miss being there, but I know myself and I'm gonna freak after being gone for 2&1/2 weeks prior and I'll need to catch up.
