J, same here only the .243 was $368. I wouldn't have bought it at $250. .270 or compact .308? OK, I might actually fill out paperwork at $199.

Pass the gravy.

I picked up a ruger american in .243 for $184 at Walmart in killeen. They had 2 of em, would have bought both and flipped one but wife was there too, lol. The other one was still in the display case this morning...

That's a good deal. I forgot what it was like to see a gun in Wal Mart, quit carrying them around here years ago.

The store on the loop had it for $189 and a couple of pump shotguns for $89. I don't need another .243 or I would have grabbed it.

Just called them...they lowered prices the day after I was there...go figure. I don't need one either but would have got it anyway. Guy says they have and 30-06 but the guy says they can't hold 'em..

I've heard reports of the Colt LE6920 being marked down to $699. I'm not hunting for it, but I have the green light if I just happen across one... but for some reason, my wife doesn't want to go to Walmart anymore! smile

Some of these deals, I,feel like whether you need it or not, if you happen to have the money to spare at the time you'd be a fool not to buy. You could easily flip some of these guns for a profit, and still give the next guy a great deal.

My Walmart has a savage axis II with a scope in .223 for $199 plus tax. Regular price is $397. They also have a bushmaster patrolman A.R. 15 priced at $749 regular price $997. Either one of those deals "too good" to pass up?

Yep. Put a trigger in that Axis and you'll have a fine shooting rifle.

Or flip it for $50 more than you paid, or for a forum member looking for that gun for the price and tax you paid... if you're willing to do a guy a favor. I wouldn't jump on that AR, but I like sporters and don't care for anything tacticool...

Savage has a $50 rebate on that axis - better snap it up quick!
I have one & it is crazy accurate!

Guy on another site showed a Wyndham ar, originally $800, bought for $349. He bought two. This was in San Angelo.

The manager told me that they were just clearing old inventory to make room for new stuff coming in for the hunting season. The Ruger American I purchased still has the flyer for the free cheek riser, however if you use the scan code or try to go to the webpage, it errors out and doesn't exist... old inventory.

Saw a Remington 887 SPS 12ga for $249 at denton/288 last night.
was very tempting (I don't have any 3.5" s-guns), but I already got enough pump guns. will probably regret some day ...
