Tell me what you do?? I only had 1/2 dozen before this season, now I have 3 1/2 dozen trying to figure a place to put em, and don't want them to break either. Any suggestions besides, just in the garage, in a bag, and out of the way.

I take mine to a carwash and wash and rinse them in the bags before storing.

since I Texas rigged all but about 2 dozen of mine this year, I had to do something as well. Just put a few screws in the rafters in the attic and hung em up

I wa wondering about that myself. I have two dozen now and I want to go get another dozen when I go back to BPS again. I had thought about the attic but I was wondering if the heat would damage them.

After I wash and let them dry I hang the texas rigged ones in the shed. We had some decoys rigged old style in a decoy bag just sit out there. We have goose floaters on the shed floor. Goose rags are in a huge trash bag sitting out there. have a few Cans sitting on my wood shelve under my work bench in the garage. Others we just put them back in the boxes after season.

The attic is a bad place to put them. The heat will crack them. Put them out of direct sunlight where the air can circulate around them.

Texas rig = Have 400# mono ran through the keel hole with weight on one end and a loop on the other end.
Old style = wrapping the line around the keel.

Texas rig,is 300 to 400 lbs test mono that runs freely through the anchor hole in a decoy, it has a loop crimped in one end and the weight crimped at the other end. Makes picking up decoys a snap, because you just clip them together on the loop. The other way is to wrap each individual line around the decoy one at a time ( for lack of a better term the traditional way)

Oh ok, mine are Texas rigged but I have never clipped all of them together. I have always individually wrapped each decoy line around each decoy.
When they are all clipped together and put in the bag does the line get tangled???

You dont put TX rigs in decoy bags. You clip them together then tie an over hand knot in them close to the decoy, sling em over your shoulder and carry them to your duck hole.

cbump, I've thrown texas-rigged decoys in a regular decoy bag before and they didn't get tangled.

Not sure I buy that the heat will crack them. I don't store mine up there anyway so it's a nonissue to me.
As far as yentzen's garage it makes me wonder if he keeps his food from touching on his plate...cause damn that's about as orginized and as clean as can be. Pretty awesome...although the way the decoys are stored it makes me think it's a pain to gather them up to take hunting.
Dear Lord please bullwhip me for saying this but I agree, Marcstar is in the lead. Please nobody use this as a quote!!!

I keep mine separated by the ponds we use them on. They are cleaned with soap and hot water right after season. Anchor line and weights are replaced as needed and leakers are drained and repaired with a glue gun. After all that is finished, the dekes are stored in cardboard moving boxes with the species, sex and quantity marked on sheet of paper in a clear plastic sheet protector then taped to the outside of the box. They are then stacked on a wooden storage rack in the barn, ready to go the following season.

Not really. I just stand in the boat before each hunt and load what I need. If Im going to have to bush wack I grab the mags in the back because they are light. Big lake with pintails grab the decoys on the right. Sand bar grab the ducks on top. Geese grab the top row of geese. Need a pokeboat they are above me. Mud stools on the right. Blind screens in the back corner. I have two of those guide decoy bags in my boat. They are attached to the boat. I just unzip them and load up. When that photo was taken all my Teal decoys were in the boat. They set on the bottom board on the right.
