If anyone has a "CULL" or "management" tag I'd like to see it.

Everyone has a cull tag on their license !!! They just want to save it for a trophy.....That's a big part of the problem.

saying I don't want to "Burn a tag".......

How about we have a TROPHY tag implemented.
Since a deer needs to be +/-6yrs old to be a trophy (to trophy hunters)

Therefore trophy hunters only get a TROPHY tag every sixth year.
(Course they'd have to keep investing (in TPWD) the five years in between, the reciept of their trophy tag, to be eligible)

scott,

I have a solution for you. This next season I am willing to come out there and sacrifice one of my tags and take this buck for you.
If you are concerned about this buck breeding then you are more than likely to late. You should have tried taking him early in the season to prevent it.
You can start a thread and have people sign up to get there names drawn to have a chance at coming out to harvest this buck. I am sure that there are some hunters that would really appreciate the opportunity to come out there.
Do a big brother program and donate the hunt.
All I am getting at is there more options than trying to get another tag and not wanting to tag him yourself.
Not trying to be rude just stating some options.

Just my 2 cents....

I am thru dealing with you on this, just go out there and shoot a deer that does not meet the AR's and explain to the GW why he should not give you a ticket because it was a cull in your opinion.

Randall - thank you!! Some folks think that a law is meant to be interpreted by them and them only. Funny thing, I guess it would in the eyes of the local PD if they decide to give you a ticket or bring you to jail if you stole money from a bank, robbed a store or burgarlized someone's home? Geesh...
