They are a little expensive, but what is the cost of falling off ladder or other problems that can happen. A lot of times I go fill feeders by myself and at 60 years old I would rather pay up front for safety and not be laying at lease waiting for my wife to miss me, might have a long wait!

I love these feeders. Coons have to find something else to dig into now

I agree with you completely. Heres what we did to all of ours and I have a buddy that shortened all his legs. he stands in back of truck to fill. Cows and pigs do not bother his. We stake all three legs down on our feeders and cow dont mess with them. We use 1 1/2" square tubing for legs.

Ross..... We have 9 1000# all season stand and fills and wouldn't change a thing. Good heavy duty cage and far enough away from the timer that a coon can't reach it. Plenty of pigs, know problem with that. We are in a sandy soil and the deer will actually dig under it some, if the hole gets big we just simply skid it over. No tying it down are anything. I run a lot of all seasons products and have had a few questions and Zach has always been readily available to answer my questions. Fixing two buy two more. As far as cost we are 420 miles away and the 1000# saves us $100's of dollars a year by not having to travel as much in the off season. We feed 10-11 months out of the year.

Have a 1000# version.
I was amazed how easy it was to move. Take off the lid, tilt it into the bed of your truck, lift and then flip. One person (if they are in decent shape) can load or unload it in less than a minute - and then there is -0- setup time other than filling it. Filling is easy (if you are in decent shape) as the fill height is fairly low - plus you can always stand in the bed of your truck and cut the lift even more. I give it 10/10 on all of these. Love it for this.
It does not throw all that great. My winch feeder (which is higher) gets about 2x the broadcast distance with the same control unit - and much less corn directly under it. My Kirvoman unit also throws much further. Height, and the coon cage both hurt the flow. That said, the limited throw probably annoys me less than the animals.
I am probably going to retire my winch feeder this year. It has to be filled 3x as often. I am tempted to get a second Kirvoman - but recognize that a full height unit will be somewhat more effort to fill - am working on that.
