I have not looked for any nests, but I know they are close by. I see young every year and expect to see some any day now. Grass and weeds are thick and tall making it difficult to see much of anything now.

Would you mind telling what camera, lens and settings you used?

Those pics were all with a Canon 50D and Canon 100-400MM IS lens. Part where on manual setting when I had something to rest on and some with auto when I was just holding the camera. Low light from cloud cover I had the cameras set on 200 to 400 ISO depending on if I was free handing or on a rest.

Thanks everyone.

Thanks for that. I'm just getting into DSLR photography and like to take notes on great photos. Eventually I hope some of this will be second nature.

I got my first DSLR in 2003 and really like it. I am still learning how to use it as I go.
Thanks all again.

Not in Goliad County but used to have them in northern Live Oak County. Goliad County still has a really good Bobwhite population. I have not seen any Blues on my place there in Live Oak in 10 yrs though. I know they are still in the area though.

Great job on the field of view. Birds are right in focus.
